Vision
Giardino Agricolo – Sustainable Agricultural Garden
A garden is a place of peace and well-being. Man and nature work harmoniously together.
THIS IS THE VISION OF THE FARM IN UDO, A FARM AS A GARDEN
Story
A Passion That Originates From Afar: Federico Ricci since childhood has always been passionate about agriculture. Following in the footsteps of his winemaker grandfather and farmer father.
The name “UDO” is short for Udorico, affectionate family nickname from Federico’s childhood.
Garden & farm
Diversity – The Key Element for Sustainable Agriculture With this principle in mind the farm includes vineyards, apricot trees, olive trees, meadows and woods. In our crops we use useful insects for pollination and make use of active defense methods such as sexual confusion, insects nets and rain screens in order to have fruit that is beautiful, tasty and at the same time healthy and nutritious.
Our Animals; Everyone brings their own contribution – bees, ponies and horses, sheep and chickens, cows and donkeys.

We are a family run and owned vieyard – everything from the planting of baby vines to the pressing of skins is done by us….we find that owning every step of the process is the only way we can guarantee the quality of our wines. Using traditional tools allows us to hand make wine, this doesnt mean we arent pushing the envelope in terms of innovation, but what it does mean is that we are not an industrial production.
